Q: What is Gilley’s Dallas?

We are a 92,000 square foot entertainment facility housing 8 different rooms for private events and concerts. Each space has its own entrance, exit, restrooms, and amenities so that we can host several different events at one time OR host one giant event with all of the rooms connecting with one another.

Q: What are all of your spaces? (Click on each one for description, pictures and capacities)

South Side Ballroom

South Side Music Hall

The Loft

Jack Daniel’s Saloon

Lone Star Room

Brazos Room

Pasadena Room

Federal Reserve Room

Q: Are you a Dance Hall or a Country Music Venue?

Though the name “Gilley’s” does imply dance hall and country music in general, we are not limited to one genre of music or entertainment. We were a honkey tonk from 2003 to 2007 in the space that is now the South Side Ballroom (formerly the Palladium Ballroom). From 2007 – 2009, the honky tonk moved to what is now the South Side Music Hall. We pulled the plug on all things honky tonk in 2011 due to the high demand for private events.

Q: Do you offer Dance Lessons?

We do not unfortunately. Though we are fond of our honky tonk roots, we are simply not a honky tonk. However, dance lessons and line dance instruction is for hire at your private event in any one of our 8 rooms. Occasionally outside Dance Instructors will rent a room and offer dance lessons over the weekend.

Q: Do you have Mechanical Bull Riding?

Mechanical bull riding can be rented for any private event.

Q: Why is the temperature of the venue so warm during concerts sometimes?

Occasionally, the artist or band will require the A/C units to be turned completely off so that they can be heard more clearly and/or their vocal chords are not affected by the heat or coolness of the room. We understand this can make it slightly uncomfortable at times while viewing a show, but just know it is per the artist’s contract that we must have the room at the requested temperature.

Q: Why are set times never posted?

The simple answer is that they can change on a dime and sometimes more than once in a day. We always suggest you show up at door time or as close to doors as possible to secure the best possible viewing area and most importantly so you don’t miss the entire performance from all of the bands on the bill.

Q: Do you offer seats for your concerts?

We are a General Admission / Standing Room Only venue. Occasionally the artist will request theatre style seating in one of the venues such as acoustic shows or comedic performances. Normally there is a VIP section that offers cocktail service along with a table and stools should you want to have a seat reserved. Each show is different, but most of the time we are standing room only.
